Know the towing capacity of your SUV / Truck
To determine how many trailers your SUV, van, or pickup-style truck can tow, all you need to do is consult the manufacturer's recommendations. This information is often present at the bottom of your vehicle's door.
If the recommendations didn't appear in the manual or on your vehicle door, contact your car dealer to obtain them.
Take into account the weight of your equipment.
Don't forget to calculate the load/equipment in your truck when calculating the total towing weight of your vehicle. Nothing should be overlooked in your calculation: equipment, machinery, materials, etc.
